Production Notes

I don’t recall how I came up with the phrase in the title — I may have even heard it from someone else. But when it hit me like a lightning bolt, it was just a matter of time before the chorus kicked into high gear in my hypothalamus. The verses were a little harder to come by.

Lyrics

from the 2003 All Flesh album, “New Revelation”.

V. Lenin Visk ©2002 Freedom Liberation Front. (lyrics reprinted by permission)

I feel a need to expose myself
To see a reaction when faces swell
Obscene days and aquatic nights
Loose me lubricate me tight
No solemn vows only lucid dreams
A swift temptation; Malthusian schemes
I desire to believe and trust
But internally all I am is lust

Drugged up, sexed up, minds dead and messed up
In sex we trust
Little girls and old men, young boys and chickens
In sex we trust
Infants – extremists; united:p-ssy; penis
In sex we trust
Candy coated cold sores and medicated morals
In sex we trust

You’ve filled me up with your slogans
Scared us that all, all is broken
You took away our minds made us weak
But you gave us diversion — so to speak!

(repeat chorus)

Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy it too —but that’s not my point!
When you define yourself solely on this who’s more the fool?
And what do you dream about when you’re not f___ing —when you’re all alone?
Can you not put your hands on something that you’ve made? Or is it all just puerile?

(repeat chorus)
